Sulpacio Jones—a true California girl, born in San Diego and raised in the Bay
Area’s Berkeley.
Combining
Funk, Soul, and smooth R&B, Jones’ individual sound and authenticity
captures the essence of real life experience. Utilizing her melodic tone and
passionate lyrics, her debut album is a sultry and soulful exploration of the
heart, a direct reflection of the tribulations and growth of womanhood.
Throughout
her work, Sulpacio Jones aims to produce music that is authentically hers.
Working with producers Michaelangelo (Faith Evans), and up-and comers like Jeff
Jeudy and Sky Bermudas, she has forged a distinct sound, fusing bold Hip-Hop
influences with ‘70s and 80’s golden age R&B. She cites soul queen Chaka
Khan and artists such as Rick James, Earth Wind & Fire and Prince among her
favorites, influences that echo throughout her stunning material.
